Week 2

Same Shape Different Size
For my first piece, I created depth within the picture using small and large hexagons, to make the larger hexagons appear closer to the viewer than the smaller, more distant ones. What I changed from my initial piece was adding smaller hexagons throughout, and rotating hexagons to make it feel less structured.

Different Shape Same Size
For my second piece, I created a sense of unity within the multiple different shapes. They are all centered around a star which is supposed to be the central focus of the piece. It has a bit of a rhythm to it, as there is a nice pattern that keeps the piece together. In addition, the piece is symmetrical throughout. I made the whole image a bit smaller from the first one because I wanted to add some more to it, and keep it tightly packed together.

Different Shape Different Size
For this last piece, I used a variety of shapes, some being irregular, to create a symmetrical image. The smaller circles along the thin rectangles create a border that the eyes will naturally follow. I took out some of the overlapping from the first one, as we were not supposed to overlap.
